Friday Park Adventure and Movie Night

After school and dinner on Friday, we had the chance to go to a park just past the bay that had showcased different nuts/plants of New Zealand through the structures on the playground. It was a pretty cool playground and I can see why Michael wanted to go there instead of 1 of the 5 different playgrounds that are near the house.

just sitting in a giant acorn-like structure

We climbed around and took pictures while Fredda and Elise walked the surrounding area of the park. We found a little swivel chair type thing for kids and had a go on it… I had never seen one before, but it’s basically a little rubber, slanted, bowl-like structure that you can sit in and spin around in.

Going 'round and'round again!

After Michael had enough fun running around on his own, he talked us into playing a game that was really similar to hot lava tag that you would play on the playground. But instead of playing on the structures, we had designated path ways we could run on and that’s about it. It was a fun adventure and thank goodness Kirsten brought her camera because I forgot again… go figure. ;) When we got back to the house, Fredda and Hans went on a movie date and so us kids at the house had our own fun together and watched The Green Lantern. We didn’t stay up too late though because we had to get up early Saturday morning for our group beach trip!
